

JAMES W. FLANAGAN has served as lead trial counsel in many civil litigation cases throughout Florida since the late 1970's, with over fifty jury trials. Mr. Flanagan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1974 and his Juris Doctorate from the Nova University Law Center in Florida in 1977. He has specialized in civil trial work in Florida ever since.
Mr. Flanagan has represented business clients and has defended insureds in a wide variety of cases including premises liability and security claims, product liability, chemical/toxic exposure, auto liability, commercial trucking, construction defects, architect/engineer liability, medical malpractice, employment matters, homeowners association, personal injury and wrongful death. He has to his credit numerous defense verdicts in jury and non-jury cases.
He is admitted to practice before all Florida State Courts and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, first admitted in Florida in 1978. Mr. Flanagan is a member of the Trial Lawyers section of the Florida Bar, and has been involved with various Bar Committees. He served on the Law Related Education Committee, and served as Vice-Chairman of the Judicial Administartion, Selection and Tenure Committee. He has been a guest lecturer in seminars sponsored by The Florida Bar.
Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Mr. Flanagan had his own successful private law practice and was associated over the years with several other distinguished law firms in and about Palm Beach County. Mr. Flanagan and his wife, Susan, have four children and reside in Wellington.
